About Robert Mehnert

Since 1994, Robert Mehnert has served on the police force of Teaneck, New Jersey. He went into law enforcement after earning a bachelor of arts in law and society from Ramapo College of New Jersey in Mahwah, joining the staff of Hackensack University Medical Center as a security officer. Robert Mehnert served in this position for a full year and then joined the Teaneck Police Force, where he now serves as a sergeant in charge of a staff of patrolman.

Also recognized for his service to the community, Robert Mehnert has managed and coached Wayne Little League baseball teams, including one 12-year-old, all-star team and the 2016 Major League champions. An experienced softball player as well, he managed a Teaneck Softball League team that won four annual championships in the early 1990s. Mr. Mehnert also enjoys playing golf and stands out as a third-place winner of the Rock the Links Golf Open, sponsored by radio stations WMTR and WDHA.

Robert Mehnert is a lifelong New Jersey resident. He graduated from Paramus Catholic High School and began his college career at St. Thomas Aquinas College, which he attended on a partial baseball scholarship before his transfer to Ramapo College.
